Pillow Case Dress?

Hmmm. . . well, I have been looking at pillow case dresses for a long time now.  But, have never found a great pillow case.  I as at Pottery Barn on Wednesday night and saw this pillow case and thought it might be time to go for it.  HOWEVER, it was not until I got home that I realized it was actually a pillow SHAM!  Obviously, there is a big difference between the two.   So, with my VERY basic sewing skills, I made the pillow sham into a pillow case in order to make the pillow case dress.  I really love the way it turned out and she loves it too.  She even asked me to make her another one (glad that I got some other pillow cases -shams- too).  I also picked up some sweet little napkins and hope the try to see if I can make a top out of them?  We'll see.  If the top turns out, I'm going to place one up here for a give-a-way, fun!  FYI, the gross grain ribbon in the dress was off of a package from a friend that was given to me (thanks Beccs) and the little "purse" is actually the bag in which the pillow shame was packaged!
 LOVE IT!

EASTER

This week, the theme at I {heart} faces is, "Easter/Spring".  Unfortunately, I did not have too many will participants in Easter day for photographs.  But, here is my entry.  Even when she is not cooperating, she is still a little cutie-pie!

My "BEST" Friend and Me

Here is a picture of my best friend and me.  Yes, my husband is my very best friend.  I do not tell people enough about what a wonderful husband and friend he is.  He would do anything for me, even lay down his own life, I know this with out a doubt.  Actually, if the need arose he would think it less of a sacrifice to die for me . . . than take a picture.  If there is one thing he does NOT like, it is taking his picture.  Perhaps it is from all of those years of having the camera follow him with his golfing success.  Regardless of the reason, he allowed me to take this picture of the two of us.  After about 5 "takes", I still did not have a good shot, but I wasn't going to press his generosity.  Anyway, here is my entry for the I {heart} Faces adult entry for "My Friend and Me."  Award worthy, no, but My friend and me?  My very best friend (in the tangible flesh), absolutely!  I couldn't imagine another picture of anyone one else, for any other reason.

You and "Eye"

This is the only picture I could get of my daughter and me together!  . . . . you cannot see my wrinkles this way either.  HA!

Grandma

What could make grandma happier than time with your grandchildren?  Not much!

Happy Birthday!

Not only is this little girl so sweet and free-spirited, I had the privilege of getting to spend part of her birthday with her taking some pictures.  She is just one piece of the puzzle that makes up the gorgeous family.  Truly, a delight!
Oh, and by the way, guess how old she is?  Hee, hee hee?
