Normal Lens

I got an early Christmas present!  Shannon got me a new lens for my camera and I LOVE IT!
Here is some of the fun things I can do with it since it has such a large aperture capability it can handle light so much better than the lens that came with my camera AND it can achieve detailed focal points!
FYI, both of these images are SOOC.

Burn Tool

I tried the burn tool for the first time.  I think that I like the look, especially with the rustic look.

Civic Plaza

We went to the park yesterday and took some pictures.  I am content with the results.  I am still trying to determine if I prefer the original look (not SOOC, though), or the "rustic" look.   I think that they both have their benefits.  Hmmm.

Fall Pictures

This family is so sweet.  I really enjoyed meeting them.  Their beauty made my job of taking their pictures so much easier.  I had a fun morning with you.  Thank you.  I had a difficult time working with all of the shadows, be I think that we have a few here that might work.

Fun with PS Elements

Well, I am finding that is not nearly as easy as I thought to get actions for Elements, especially if you have it on a Mac.  Although, Elements for Mac does have a lot more to offer in itself that Elements for a PC.  However, I did find a website that has several actions, EXTREMELY reasonably priced.  So, I got a few to try out.
The first picture, colorcast in blue, is the original taken at dusk on Halloween.
The second picture, I added two actions two.  The first is a vintage look.
Then, I added a color-pop over it.  I am quite happy with the result.  I think it is really pretty and gives a "fairy tale" feel . . . like all true fairy princesses should have, right?
The last is just a basic black/white color conversion that came with PSE 6.
Although it is frustrating to learn the digital "developing", I know it will be worth it.
