Oh, how I would LOVE a camera bag as I don't even have one at all . . . . still saving every penny that I get for a new lens.  But, I have a chance to win one HERE!

Blurb Book Contest

Although I do not consider myself a "professional photographer" by any means, under I {heart} faces criteria, I am.  I only picked up a DSLR for the first time back in September of '08, but a few people have paid me a little for helping them with their pictures, more for my time than anything.  Since I have received money from a few very generous friends for my photography services, I am considered "professional".   So, here is my entry for the i {heart} faces Blurb book contest, professional category.

I am submitting this photo into the www.iheartfaces.com Blurb Book photo contest. I am granting I ♥ Faces permission to use my photo in a printed version of a book for commercial use and possibly advertising of a photo book on both the Blurb and I ♥ Faces web sites.

i {heart} Faces . . . . Laughter!

Oh, how I wish that you could HEAR her laughter.  As her laughter is hearty and vibrant and heart-felt, every time she laughs (which is quite often), my heart sings and I smile.  She is a joy and truly is my Little Ray of Sunshine.

These are my two entries for the them of Hats at We picture {this}.  

  I am so blessed to be the mother of three precious children.  Unfortunately, of all the pictures I have with my children in hats, they are all pictures of them individually and I could only pick two.  But take it from me (and I'm not bias at all) all three of our little ones are remarkable!  

What a Sweetie!

When we were at a baseball game last night, this little guy was amazed my my camera.  He kept looking at me and was just amazed.  Obviously, he is a cutie-pie, and I love his dirty little face and the scratch on his chin.  But, if any one is going to sit still and look directly at me, you can bet your sweet boopy that I'll snap a picture!  Anyway, I just downloaded some free actions and tried them on this picture.

Constructive Criticism

Per a friends constructive input, I used MCP's Touch of Light/Touch of Dark on the little boy's face to lighten it and on the mommy's face to darken it.  It's better, but still needs help.  

Oh, Yes, I could use quite a lot of constructive criticism.  SO, please help me out!  I tried to get a picture of this whole family together in a little tiny area.  BUT, the best I could do was this picture and the little boy's face is an a shadow.  I don't know how to get the shadow off of his face.  I also wish that the picture was sharper.  I'd love any feedback, instructions or whatever.  I just want better pictures or my subjects.

Beautiful Family

Well we scheduled to take pictures at a local historic park, as it rained and rained and rained for almost 4 days straight, that was really not an option.  So, we had to move indoors.  Little Princess as not in the mood to take any family photos, so I am so sorry, Mom and Dad, that we were not able to reach our goal.  BUT, I hope that we were able to capture at least one or two moments that will have made the drive worth it.  

I so enjoyed our time together.  This family is such a beautiful and loving family, just being in their presence is a beautiful and peaceful place to be!
